What data I collect and why

When you request a free resource (such as the 13-Week Cash Flow Tracker)

I collect your first name and email address. I use this to send you the resource you requested and, with your explicit consent, to send you occasional emails about finance tools, tips, and services I offer. The legal basis for this processing is consent — you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.

When you contact me via the website form

I collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message. I use this solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is legitimate interests.

Website analytics

My website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about how visitors use the site (pages visited, time spent, general location). This does not identify you personally. You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out tool.

How I store your data

Email addresses collected via my mailing list are stored within Google Workspace, which I use under a Google Workspace agreement. I do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except where required by law or where a third-party service processes it on my behalf under appropriate data processing terms.

How long I keep your data

I keep your email address on my mailing list for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, your data is removed within 30 days. Email correspondence is retained for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email mark@marklynam.com and I will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

My website uses Google Analytics which sets cookies to collect anonymised usage data. No advertising or tracking cookies are used beyond this.
